sight isn’t always necessary

OHHHHH I’ve gotta get out of here. This place is totally crazy. I was mentioning to Craig the other day the fact that certain individuals here are SO obsessed with money and possessions that literally no other topics ever leave their lips. I just walked into the lunchroom to fill my water bottle, and they were discussing HDMI cables or something equally boring and useless – and I almost exploded! Sometimes I wish something really catastrophic could happen, like in the movies, to throw the lives of these idiots out of whack beyond anything they could possibly prepare for. They’d have nothing left from their old lives that they’ve relied on for so long as the reason for living. What would they do? Would they not be able to find any beauty in the world without their plasma screen TVs and game consoles and 80’s rock ring tones and clothing from JCrew? Would they make all of my wishes come true and just off themselves in a panic because they couldn’t remote start their cars?

On a similar subject, I have a ton of stupid work to do today, and the first thing the royal turd said to me this morning was “Got a minute?” I wanted to say “NO. NO FUCKING WAY. I’M NOT CLEANING UP ANY MORE OF THE STUPID SHIT PEOPLE LEAVE AROUND. NO. FUCK YOU, FUCK NO, FUCK THIS.” That all went through my head, in all caps. And then I said “Sure.” Apparently someone screwed something up (wow!) and they need to run some job for a client, but they can’t because there aren’t any variables to allow this special job to run. The “specialness” of this job exists in all other clients using this certain job – it’s NOT fsaAdmin – and would be EXCEEDINGLY simple for someone else to program. One of the new guys, the actual programmer on the client, the fucking bald useless retard managing the programmer, the ass that runs most of the company – ANY of them could have made this change. But I was asked, because I’ll do it quickly, and since it’s SOOOOO goddamn important I had to drop everything to do it. So that’s why I’m blogging – it seems that all of the projects I’ve been diligently working on are not as urgent as they have been made to seem, and thus I must have time to do useless and random shit that’s completely not work related. Fancy blog, here I come.
